VT26(Fuzzy Enhanced) SERIES WITH SOFT START AND OTHER ENHANCMENT FEATURES |

The VT26 Series FUZZY ENHANCED PID din controllers utilize the very
latest fuzzy logic "Auto Tuning" technology aimed at giving you
the best possible control even in the most difficult applications. For best
results, in order to benefit from this high level control technology, these
controllers should be used in conjunction with Solid State Relays or Thyristor
Power Regulators.
SUPERB CONTROLLERS AT A VERY ATTRACTIVE
PRICES
The VT26 Series is the recently introduced VT20 Version 6 and is now called the VT26 series. This controller has a host of enhancements including a "RAMP" function and a very useful "SOFT START" especially aimed at the plastic industry where slow heating of elements to avoid damage is required. With this feature you can limit the "output power" to a low value until the heater has warmed up and is ready for full power heating.

Control Action |
This is a full three term FUZZY ENHANCED PID auto tuning temperature controller. Auto tune PID, PD, P or on/off with adjustable deadband
| Soft Start Function | This function uses 2 paramaters. The first is a target temperature below which the output will be limited to the value set in the second paramater. So as an example you have a target temperature of 100 deg C and as long as the measured temperature is below that the output can be limited to any value between 0 and 100 % of full power, so say 20% or whatever you require. | |
| Ramp Function | The ramp can be used separately from the “Soft Start” or in conjunction with as you please. With the Ramp value set to 0 the ramp is disabled. When a value has been set in Deg C / min each time a setpoint change is made the setpoint will ramp at the set rate from the original value to the new setpoint value. This can be set between the range of 0 ~ 9999 ?/min (0.0 – 999.9) | |

| Dead Band | There is an adjustable dead band when the controller is used in the on/off mode. This is sometimes referred to as a "hysterisis" setting. | |
Cycle Time
|
There is an adjustable "cycle time". This is set primarily to suit the type of control element you are using. For a mechanical contactor/relay it is normally set to 15 seconds, to prevent excessive ware and tear on the contactor. For Solid State Relays it is set to 1 to give a much faster switching time aimed at delivering smaller incriments of energy to the load, thereby making it possible to get tighter control and 0 seconds for analog control
| Remote Setpoint | Remote setpoint input is available | |
| RS485 Comm's | Full Modbus RS485 comm's available | |
| Parameter Retransmission | Process value or setpoint value re-transmission is available | |
| Auxiliary Power Source | A 24 Vdc auxiliary power source is available to drive 4 wire input devices | |
| Parameter Locks | There are parameter locks, user configurable, at varying levels, making it possible to lock parameters and avoid unwanted tampering | |
| User Menu Configurable | You can hide unwanted functions in the menu from prying hands | |

CONNECTIONS
Please
note that the only hardware difference between the VT20 V4 (Old VT20) and
the new is the terminal arrangement for the RTD (PT100) input. This has been
changed to increace PCB track isolation and improve RTD input readings. If
you are using thermocouples the old and new are fully interchangable by simply
unplugging the old and plugging in the new.
