Programmable Isolated DIN Rail Thermocouple & PT100 Intelligent Math Function Transmitter

Easy to use Easy and Calibrate !

Feature: The IsignalCon Transmitter has 2 inputs and caters for simple maths manipulation of one or both using a formula and can be set to have a variety of analog outputs as shown below.

Feature: Configure without power or load connected, Ideal for configuration in the workshop before installation.

Feature: All models are ISOLATED on input !

Feature: Configurable inputs and range.

IsignalCon ISC-S has 2 inputs and one analog output.

IsignalCon ISC-D has 2 inputs and 2 analog outputs.

IsignalCon ISC-C has 2 inputs and 1 x analog and 1 RS485 comms port.

These can be configured using our "iSignalTrans" software on your PC/notebook or our dedicated handheld programmer using the special URC-1020 USB interface cable. "iSignalWin" is our user-friendly calibration software. The latest version can be download free from our website.

The transmitter can be calibrated in the workshop without connection to any wiring or power source.

The formulae is avaliable to mix or manipulate one or both the 2 inputs if you choose.

• The formulae can only be used on one output channel on the ISC-D and ISC-C units.
• PV1 and PV2 are measuring value of input 1 and 2.
• A, B and C are constants set by the user.
• In order to make the formula versatile you can disable the root part of the equation and simply use the arithmetic functions should you choose.

Using the ISC-C module allows you to network both input signals on a RS485 network for use in a PC or PLC.

Specification:

    1. Calibration is done using a USB port on your PC and a special USB cable that includes an interface adaption. This cable is avaliable from us and it's code is URC-1020.
    2. Selection of mV, V or mA inputs involves on-board dip switch selection. The input signals of the ISC are divided into three groups. To change input signal from one group to another. the DIP switch have to be set accordingly. These are ...

      1. RTD( pt100) , T/C ( J,K,T,E,B,R,S,N,C) and mV ( -60~60mV)
      2. mA ( 0~24mA)
      3. V ( -10~10V )
    3. We are in the process of developing a hand held programmer to facilitate simple configuration and input selection.
    4. Note on mains power source...For example, a 24Vdc power source, the Max. load of 0~20mA will be (Vpower - 12)/ 0.02 = ( 24-12 )/0.02 = 600 ohms. So, a lower power supply results in lower load capability.
Input signal Maximum Range Accuracy
Thermocouple J -50 to 1000 ºC (-58 to 1832 ºF ) ± 1 ºC
Thermocouple K -50 to 1370 ºC (-58 to 2498 ºF ) ± 1 ºC
Thermocouple T -270 to 400 ºC (-454 to 752 ºF ) ± 1 ºC
Thermocouple E -50 to 960 ºC (-58 to 1760 ºF ) ± 1 ºC
Thermocouple B 0 to 1750 ºC (32 to 3182 ºF ) ± 2 ºC (Note1)
Thermocouple R -50 to 1750 ºC (-58 to 3182 ºF ) ± 2 ºC
Thermocouple S -50 to 1750 ºC (-58 to 3182 ºF ) ± 2 ºC
Thermocouple N -50 to 1300 ºC (-58 to 2372 ºF ) ± 2 ºC
Thermocouple C -50 to 1800 ºC (-58 to 3272 ºF ) ± 2 ºC
Pt100 -200 to 600 ºC (-328 to 1112 ºF ) ± 0.2 ºC
mV (Note2) -60mVto 60mV ± 0.01m V
Voltage (Note2) -10 to 10Vdc ± 1m V
Current (Note2) 0 to 24mAdc ± 10µA

Input signal notes:

Accuracy is not guaranteed between 0 and 400 ºC (0 and 752 ºF) for type B, R and S.

The internal dip switches are used for these inputs. (Note 2)(Also see above)

Both inputs must be of the same type and range. You cannot have say 1 x Type K and 1 x PT100 input on the same module.

Output signal notes:

Voltage output signal is only suitable for high impedance loads (typically 20k or higher) or opto-isolated loads.

You can have different output types on this module. As an example you can have a 4~20 mA and a 0~10 Vdc as the other on the ISC-D unit or the second would be RS485 on the ISC-C unit.

As a matter of course always keep input wires separate from power wiring.
