The VT30 Series is a Fuzzy Enhanced Pattern Programmable range of DIN stand alone controllers. You can use and store 2 x 8 segment patterns or link them together and have one 16 step ramp and soak program. Add to this the versilatility to use the alarms as "event" alarms and you have a very cost effective pattern controller that will give excellent control.

Control Action

 

 This is a full three term FUZZY ENHANCED PID auto tuning temperature controller. Auto tune PID, PD, P or on/off with adjustable deadband
   

Pattern Programs

 

 

Either 2 x 8 segment patterns can be used or stored, or you may link the two together and have one 16-step ramp and soak profile.
All you do is simply set the ramp target temperature for each segment, the time to reach it (ramp rate), and the time it must remain at that temperature (soak).
   

Alarms

 

 

 

 
  • 2 alarms are standard with all models
  • The alarm action is fully configurable making them a very useful tool. The configurations available include high, low, deviation high/low, band and timer linked alarms
  • There is a feature to deactivate the alarms on initial start-up to avoid nuisance trips
  • Latch alarm function is also available
  • Alarms can be used in conjunction with the pattern program to act as "event" alarms
 
Dead Band
There is an adjustable dead band when the controller is used in the on/off mode. This is sometimes referred to as a "hysterisis" setting.
 

Cycle Time

 

 

 
There is an adjustable "cycle time". This is set primarily to suit the type of control element you are using. For a mechanical contactor/relay it is normally set to 15 seconds, to prevent excessive ware and tear on the contactor. For Solid State Relays it is set to 1 to give a much faster switching time aimed at delivering smaller incriments of energy to the load, thereby making it possible to get tighter control and 0 seconds for analog control
