The VERTEX HOT RUNNER
BOXES are really "a service" we offer our customers
by building our controllers into suitable free standing boxes that can be used
for controlling various applications. This is done by our approved subcontractors
to our high standard and specification.
It is clearly less expensive for you to purchase the controllers
and solid state relays and do it yourself, but for those who do not have the
facilities or expertise we offer this service.
Features of our boxes....
-
Choose from our versatile range of boxes able to house anything
from 1 to 6 controllers per box
-
Depending on the level of control you require, you can choose
either the VD26, VT26 or VT30 series 48 x 48 size units for your box (Or
other sizes on demand)
-
Our boxes are built to high standards, incorporating a circuit
breaker on the front to act as the box electrical overload protection and
provide easily accessible isolation if and when required.
-
We use Solid State Relays in order to give the best possible
on/off control rather than relays or contactors along with our Fuzzy Enhanced
PID controllers.
-
Our SSR's are mounted on suitable heat sinks to provide
adequate cooling.
-
We always incorporate the correct semi-conductor fuse protection
to protect each SSR output circuit.
-
We use the correct thermocouple cable and plugs to ensure
best accuracy of measurement and control.
-
We offer the choice of IEC or Harting plugs for the load
connection depending on pricing pressure and load current factors.
-
Should we feel it necessary a cooling fan is installed to
help reduce the temperature in the box.
-
Over and above this each box is engineered so that correct
wire sizes are chosen to be used in the box and all neatly packaged and
assembled.
-
We are flexible and will always try to accommodate your
specific needs regarding connection plugs etc

- Is the load inductive or resistive or if you are not sure simply what is
the load.
- What voltage will you be using and will it be single or 3 phase.
- What kind of temperature probe will you use (Thermocouple and type or perhaps
PT100)
- Any special circumstances we should know about. ie will the box be used
